Access to Private Investment Opportunities
Access to Charted Waters

Private Investments and Deal-Flow Management
Access creates value only when combined with independent judgement. In private markets, advantage is determined not by the number of opportunities presented, but by the quality of origination, the depth of due diligence and the discipline of execution.
Catamaran Family Office originates, evaluates and oversees a curated pipeline of private investment opportunities across Private Equity, Venture Capital, Growth Equity, Pre-IPO, Real Assets and Private Credit.
We act exclusively in the interests of principals and their families. Each opportunity is assessed against the family’s investment mandate, risk profile, liquidity requirements and long-term objectives. We coordinate independent due diligence, review participation terms and oversee controlled execution from initial assessment through post-investment monitoring.

Engagement Formats and Capabilities
Opportunity Selection and Investment Assessment: Through our international network of institutional and professional partners, we facilitate access to opportunities intended for a limited group of qualified, accredited or professional investors.
Participation and allocation remain subject to the terms of each opportunity, applicable regulations, investor eligibility, suitability requirements and the final decision of the transaction sponsor.
We coordinate commercial, financial, legal, tax, technical and reputational due diligence with appropriately qualified external advisers. Particular attention is given to management quality and track record, ownership and sources of capital, corporate governance and decision-making rights, valuation and capital structure, investor rights and minority protections, dilution and follow-on funding requirements, liquidity and transfer restrictions, and the feasibility of proposed exit scenarios.

Club Deals and Investment Structures: For direct investments and co-investments, we coordinate the establishment of legally segregated structures aligned with the applicable jurisdiction, tax profile and requirements of participating investors.
Transaction architecture may include special-purpose vehicles, governance arrangements, decision-making procedures, cost-allocation mechanisms, minority-investor protections and transparent beneficial-ownership disclosure.
All legal, tax and regulatory advice is provided by appropriately licensed external professionals in the relevant jurisdictions.
Structuring and Execution: We coordinate the transaction process from initial negotiations and term-sheet review to adviser appointments, definitive documentation, funding and the formal registration of ownership rights.
Our role may include coordinating negotiations with sponsors and counterparties, managing legal, tax, financial and technical workstreams, reviewing the commercial implications of transaction documents, monitoring conditions precedent and execution deadlines, coordinating funding, settlement and ownership confirmation, and maintaining a complete transaction record for the family.
Following completion, we oversee capital calls, reporting obligations, corporate actions, covenant compliance, valuation developments and potential liquidity events. Private investments are incorporated into the family’s consolidated reporting, giving the principal a unified view of public and private assets.
